Secondary School Acceptance 2017

Year 6 parents will have recently received the offer of a secondary school place for your child.

We would like to remind you that you have only until Wednesday 15th March 2017 to accept or decline the place if the offer was made by Surrey County Council. Please follow all instructions in your notice of offer to accept or decline the place.

If your offer was made directly by Chertsey High School, you have until Friday 17th March 2017 to accept or decline the offer. Again, it is imperative that you follow the instructions for doing this in your notice of offer.

In order to facilitate the transfer of files between schools, please ensure you let  the School Office know of your choice. This will also help us to coordinate your child’s attendance at secondary school inductions and workshops.

Thank you

STARTING SCHOOL - APPLYING FOR A RECEPTION PLACE

If you have a child born between 1st September 2012 and 31st August 2013 you will need to apply for their school place. They will be due to start within the academic year starting September 2017. Please follow the link below which will take you to the Surrey County Council page where you can find all the information on applying

http://www.surreycc.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools/school-admissions/primary-junior-and-infant-applications/primary-infant-and-junior-school-admissions#primary

You MUST apply between October 31st 2016 and January 15th 2017.

If your child is in our nursery they are not automatically eligible to go into the school, and the school admissions criteria will still be applied to them as per the guidelines set out by Surrey County Council. You must therefore still apply for a placement through Surrey County Council if you would like your child to start in the main school.
