Welcome to Owls
This half term Owls are busy learning through the topic of Clothes. The children have had fun showing off their favourite clothes and dressing up in our role play Fancy Dress shop. They have sorted and paired up patterned socks and looked at different ways to do up shoes. They have thought about clothes for different weathers. We have been particularly looking at the warm clothes we need to wear in winter.
The children looked at their school uniform and noticed that their jumpers and cardigans all had the oak tree on - this shows that the children all belong to Darley Dene School. They have also looked at people who wear other uniforms. They will be learning about clothes from different countries.
If any of you would like to send in clothes from another country to show us, (or pictures of clothes) we would love to see them.
We are coming to the end of a very busy half term. The children have all been trying very hard with their learning. Our topic this half term has been 'All About me!'. We have been naming the different parts of our bodies, looking at our faces and thinking about how they show our feelings, thinking about using our hands, listening, looking and keeping healthy.
