At Darley Dene Primary School, we work to six values which are agreed by staff at the start of the year.
This year's values are: Empathy, Honesty, Kindness, Positivity, Resilience & Respect.
These values permeate our assemblies, playtimes and class time. We recognise that children may need support to achieve their potential and we believe that values help children to consider the wider characteristics that make up the 'whole' person.
We have a values song, written especially for us but our music teacher, Mrs James, which has the words, '...we live by values as a guide to our lives. A positive thing to have and to be...'
This is what all members of the school community try to emulate.
