At Darley Dene Primary School we believe that opportunities for learning and wider achievements must be available for all to access, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, disability, belief, sexual orientation or socio-economic background.
Our school values of: Empathy, Honesty, Kindness, Positivity, Resilience and Respect thread through our assemblies and help us to address misconceptions and promote tolerance.
Our objectives surrounding equality are:
1. Work hard to ensure opportunities for children who come from disadvantaged families are the same as other children.
2. Ensure that steps are taken to close the gap in progress and attainment between Disadvantaged and Non-disadvantaged children.
3. Tackle bullying or prejudiced behaviour quickly and effectively through our PSHE curriculum, assemblies, wider school activities and individual resolution strategies.
